He doesn't do mornings....

I think this picture captures what Brady's mood is in the mornings.....not so great these days. He usually wakes up relatively happy, until he realizes 5 seconds later that he's gone 10 hours without eating and he is hungry NOW. He then chooses a finger on my hand to dislocate as he attemps to drag my tired rear end out of bed. If the finger doesn't work, he goes for my hair. Smart kid, he knew that would get me up quick!!

Goodbye Hair, Hello Summer!!

I've gone back and forth about wanting to cut my hair since it's been long for about 3 years. It's nice to have long hair for the things you can do with it..but lets face it, I RARELY wear it down....it's always in a ponytail and I was just getting bored with it. So I went short again! It's a super cute a-line cut. Now if I can only figure out how to style it as cute as the sylist did.....

Beach pics

It's been beautiful weather this week and we took the opportunity to go to the beach a few times. Brady had fun with his bucket and shovel, and even had fun running through the little mini waves on the shore. It's going to be a fun summer!

This guy was making me laugh. He was power walking with perfect form faster than most of the joggers on the beach. Maybe you had to be there but it was funny.

Happy Easter!

Since Brady is still so little, I thought I'd do just a simple little Easter basket for him this year, complete with an egg with a Little People toy and two (empty) plastic eggs that he has carried around with him all day!

Here is his cute outfit. (I couldn't get one with him smiling)

Ranger even got an Easter toy. It's the bunny in the background next to Brady. Another stuffed animal to add to his collection!

Me and Brady....isn't he getting big??!!

Cheezeball

This is Brady a few weeks ago showing off what we call his "cheezeball smile". The red mark on his eye is what is left from the black eye he got from face planting (then sliding) on the driveway, and then falling again the next day going up some stairs outside. Poor kid couldn't catch a break!

Blond Moment

I don't know what I was thinking on this one guys. Let me give you a little background on this story. The Alberton's next to our house was having this grand opening thing, even though they've been there forever...but they re-tiled the floors and the signs are all new...any reason to throw a party rignt? Anyway, we got a bunch of coupons in the mail for free stuff (like cheerios, bread, potatoes, etc.) Like totally free, not the lame "5 cents off when you buy 6 or more packages of something". So I stuffed them in the diaper bag to use on my next trip to the store.

Last night I went to Albertons to pick up a few things we needed for dinner. I load my stuff on the little conveyer belt thing and proceed to wait. I then remember that I had the coupon for the Cheerios, and what mom in their right mind passes up a box of free Cheerios? So I turn around and head over to the cereal and get my box. I go to put it in the cart and this is literally the thought that runs through my mind. "Hmmm, what happened to all my stuff?" --pause for a moment-- "Oh my gosh!!"

Yes friends, of course my groceries weren't in my cart because they were already being rung up with someone elses groceries at the checkout!!! Mind you this is 5:30pm busy time. It took me a minute to figure out what line I had been in because by that time there were already 3 people behind where I should have been in line. In the meantime, the lady paying was trying to explain to the clerk that (my groceries) weren't hers. I pipe up from the back of the line that they were my things and apologized 100 times to the people that were nice enough to let me cut in front of them. Of course that took a minute too because we had to play musical carts, and Brady compounded the situation by choosing that moment to start unloading the diaper bag and throwing everything. (A big apology to the man who caught the drooled-on ziplock of smashed goldfish crackers)

To make matters worse, the coupon for this precious box of Cheerios wasn't even good until next week, and to be honest with you I didn't even care about them at this point. But the clerk took pity on me and just gave it to me anyway. A few more apologies were said and I finally checked out with my face 100 shades of red!
