Here is a slideshow I made of our vacation to Boston, Rhode Island, and New York City. We had a great time and, Brady was a great little traveler.
Warning this last a little more than 10 minutes!!! I hope you don't get bored.

Parking permit

So, back in the day when I (Cheryl) was at Grossmont community college, a parking pass was $30 for the semester. Reasonable, right? Then I moved on to San Diego State, where the price jumped to $150 a semester. I decided to park at the institute for free instead. Well, Jon is now at UCSD and those days of cheap parking are over. We have come to find out that the parking permit for this coming year is $762. Yes that's right, the decimal point comes after the 2. AND, that pretty much guarantees you a parking spot in the nose bleed lot and you still have to catch a bus to get to campus.

So, for the summer term we are trying out off campus parking. This is where the razor scooter that we found on the side of the house comes in. :) Please try to contain your laughter. This is a short term solution until we get a bike rack for his car and he can just ride his bike. The scooter isn't so great for uphill, but on flat and especially down-hill it can pick up some speed. He rode past one of those speed things on the rode and he clocked 11 mph!! He actually had to bail out on the downhill b/c there was a crack in the sidewalk...and if you've ever been on a razor you know that can be trouble. So, if you're ever in La Jolla and you see a guy riding a scooter (with no helmet b/c he refuses), that's Jon :)

And may I also mention that the razor scooter is environmentally friendly...we have to do something to make up for our not so "green" Xterra.
